Emotional
What you don’t reveal can’t be healed.” ~ Source Unknown
Emotional is defined as strong relationships which are a major key to overall happiness and living a healthy life in mind, body, and soul.
This core area is defined through your relational side to life. Relationships are one of, if not, the most impactful area of your life. We are relational beings. We are all connected.
You are connected to yourself and others. By going within and understanding acceptance of yourself (true-self) allows you to better understand others and not allow your experiences and judgemental inclinations to be projected onto others.
As you attack this core area it will be important to keep in mind we all have a path. All of our paths are different. Your ability to love people for who they are and their own particular journeys they are on will open the doorway for you to grow.
One of the biggest barriers or struggles which we go through is our lack of the ability to see ourselves in others. Much of success is in the eye of the beholder. Everyday is an opportunity to better understand those around you. Through an exemplified awareness in this area will allow you to have a strong love and inner peace for a greater and much more rich experience of life.
Financial
“When you understand that your self-worth is not determined by your net-worth , then you’ll have financial freedom.” ~ Suze Orman
Financial is defined as creating a healthy outlook on how money can make you either bitter or better. Finances do not have to be a stressor in your world. They are in your path to create the life you want and the freedoms you choose.
Some, not all, may have a limiting belief when it comes to money. I am no different. Growing up in a single parent family on welfare I watched the countless struggles of my Mom sobbing at the kitchen table with her notepad trying to figure out how to put food on the table.
Yes, this built a hard self-limiting belief in my soul for many years. I looked at money as wrong and it hurt because we did not have a whole lot of it. Through time as I grew and learned through many more experiences, having financial wealth is okay. It allows the freedom to be and do a lot more of who you are. This is what I was referencing when money can make you bitter or better.
Having the breakthrough to level up in your mindset when it comes to finances will be groundbreaking and an opening of the flood gates to an overall better you to create the freedom you so desire.
Intellectual
Read to learn to give and serve.” ~ Dave Hildebrandt
Intellectual is defined as a person who engages in critical thinking, research, and reflection to better their being.
You may have heard we are only a culmination of the people we surround ourselves with.
In this core area will be a time of growth through books, audiobooks, podcasts, coffee dates with people who lift you, etc. We don’t know what we don’t know. By changing the way you think, you can change the way you learn and eventually serve.
Our focus in this pillar is improvement. We challenge ourselves to go outside ourselves to understand there is so much more to learn in the areas we want to grow or better understand for our lives and the lives we impact.
To be the best version we can be we have to search for others, as it takes a village, to help move in the positive direction we look to achieve. What are the particular areas you may be missing within yourself through self-awareness to help you in growth?
Spiritual
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” ~ Lao Tzu
Spiritual is defined as the recognition of a feeling or sense that there is something greater than ourselves, something more to the human experience.
This core area is defined as understanding the “why” behind you and your purpose in life. Many of us walk the earth and struggle to ask this question and have no directive to what the answer to the question may be.
We are so busy grinding through life that we “turn off” the “true” inner voice that craves for you to better understand who you are and why you are here. Much of this inner voice gets stuffed way down inside where you can hardly hear the whispers due to the experiences, daily activities, and doubts we all have struggled with throughout our journeys.
Your inner voice’s only purpose is to guide you to be the highest level you can be to yourself, first, and finally for others, second (serve). Without this better understanding will mitigate who you truly are and where you want to go. Ultimately this is your navigation tool, your compass of life.
So, I ask you these questions, “Who are you?” What is your purpose?
Living Life
All the Best Advice in The World, doesn’t matter if you don’t actually “LIVE” your life!!!
Physical
Low expectations trap you in mediocrity; high expectations motivate and propel you to move forward in life.” ~ Source Unknown
Physical is defined as the ability to culminate one’s self-discipline to level up the expectations of your one and only temple – your physical body.
Your physical body and your mind are intertwined. There is an age old question…what comes first, the mind or the body? Yes, this can be argued from multiple standpoints. The belief I share with you today is “mind triumphs body”.
Let me explain. You may have heard this from multiple sources – “thoughts lead on to purposes; purposes go forth in action; actions form habits; habits decide character; and character fixes our destiny.” ~ Tyron Edwards
Reminder – the physical brain is an organ but the mind is a tool for us to use, create, and choose. To keep your tool sharp one has to create the thoughts and actions to do the physical work. Physical work takes energy, thus we have to fuel our body with nutrition and hydration to positively impact our thought process; therefore I am describing how the body and mind are intertwined with one another.
To create and be the highest level of self we must take care of our temple through health and wellness. Good nutrition, sleep, hydration, physical exercise, and mindfulness practice will keep the body and mind sharp (clarity) to be your best (confidence) and in service of others.
The question I ask of you….Is your mind and body where you would like it to be? Is this an area of neglect that needs some attention?
